DeWeese Consulting has provided independent actuarial consulting services since 1990. Its principal consultant, Charles C. DeWeese is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, with over 40 years’ experience in actuarial and consulting work. DeWeese Consulting concentrates primarily on health insurance issues, but also provides services related to life and disability insurance and insurance company financial reporting.  

DeWeese Consulting provides extensive service to health insurance regulatory agencies, including rate review (including rate review in connection with the Affordable Care Act), financial examination actuarial assistance, market conduct examination assistance, surplus studies, and other studies and analysis as needed.

Charles DeWeese has served as an expert witness and in support of litigation on many occasions on a variety of topics, including life, health and disability insurance.  He has provided testimony in Tax Court and District Court on many occasions with regard to plans that purport to qualify under IRC 419A(f)(6).
